01 / DIRECT ANSWER
How do I read an FC 26 Live Editor log?
Use five passes: current attempt → identity → milestones → first divergence → exact route.
Note the clock time; discard older sessions.
Game build, Editor release, hashes and paths.
Read known launch milestones in order.
Error, missing next step, abrupt end or loop.
Open the exact guide; change one layer.
Preserve what the screen showed. Launcher output, in-game behavior and vanilla control are separate evidence streams that complete the log.
02 / EVIDENCE OWNERS
Which log are you actually reading?
“The FC 26 log” can mean different components at different moments.
Config, version, file-manager, update, injector, game-window and cleanup milestones. This page’s main sequence model.
STATUS_WAITING_FOR_GAMEPlayer preset, Lua or rendering-component messages may appear after the game is already running.
DETOURS::D3D12::PresentEA Error Reporter, Windows event or dump evidence has a different owner and cannot be silently merged with Launcher semantics.

Where is the FC 26 Live Editor log?
There is no stable public path contract to quote. The current creator Wiki and public repository do not document a filename, directory or retention policy.
- 01Reproduce once and note the exact time
Close prior sessions first. One clean attempt makes modified-time selection defensible.
- 02Start in the dedicated folder used by this Live Editor build
In File Explorer, sort text-like artifacts by Date modified. Do not search the whole drive or assume a filename copied from another release.
- 03Verify by content signature
Look for
Game Version:,Live Editor v,STATUS_orGame Window Foundnear your reproduction time. - 04If no file is created, preserve visible output
Copy or screenshot the complete Launcher output with the status and time. Report that no file matching the signatures was found.
Public logs mention config, game, Editor and DLL paths, but that does not establish the log file’s own path. This guide intentionally avoids inventing one.
04 / FIVE-PASS REVIEW
Read the attempt like a match timeline
A referee does not decide from one frame; a log reader should not decide from one line.
Use the last configuration/version initialization block when several runs were pasted together. Keep timestamps continuous.
Do not “remember” the version pair. Copy exact values before interpreting later lines.
Find the furthest documented event that definitely appears. Do not promote a request into a result.
Look beyond ERROR: absent endpoint, repeated cleanup or an abrupt stop can be the useful divergence.
Choose version, platform handoff, memory scan, overlay, authentication or crash diagnosis. The route is not the cause.
05 / INTERACTIVE ATTEMPT READER
Paste a log and expose its signals
This browser-only tool selects the last detected attempt, extracts identity, marks milestones, flags repeated patterns and proposes a next diagnostic route.
The sample is a real public Launcher sequence. Its paths and release pair are historical; do not copy them into your setup.
Use the newest attempt, not a line copied from a forum.
06 / LINE ANATOMY
What does each part of a log line mean?
18:41:45.608270TIMEOrders events within this attempt; microseconds are precision, not importance.
INFOLEVELClassification of this record. It is not a whole-session health badge.
[Injector::Inject]COMPONENTThe named subsystem or method that emitted the record.
Game Window FoundEVENTThe smallest claim the message supports: a game window was found.
Read left to right, but interpret top to bottom. Meaning comes from order and from the precise scope of each event.
07 / IDENTITY BLOCK
Version, hashes and paths identify the attempt
Capture these before troubleshooting; do not mistake identification for diagnosis.
1.0.137.49763Exact executable buildCompare it to the official manifest, not a storefront label alone.
v26.3.4Exact tool releaseIssue #41’s historical pair is now unmapped; that does not prove the reported symptom’s cause.
46DA… / 449A…Artifact fingerprintsUseful for comparing two attempts. Not a security verdict or automatic compatibility proof.
F:\FC 26\…Loaded-path evidenceUseful for duplicate-copy mistakes, but redact usernames and private folder names.
08 / LAUNCH CHAIN
Which Launcher milestones should appear in order?
This chain is reconstructed from the creator’s documented flow and public real logs. It is a reading model, not a promise that every release prints identical wording.

09 / WORDS WITH NARROW SCOPE
Why INFO and Done do not prove success
The line was emitted as informational. The attempt may still stop before the next required milestone.
RestoreAnticheat Done says that operation logged completion—not that FC 26 reached the menu.
A later Game Window Found is the stronger observation that the game window appeared.
The official success signal is still the extra overlay at the main menu. F9 rendering remains unproven.
10 / FIRST DIVERGENCE
What if the log has no ERROR?
Compare sequence shape. The first unusual transition often matters more than searching for a red word.
ERROR, warning, exception, failed call or raw code. Keep the preceding completed milestone.
For example, launch call recorded but no game-window observation. Absence narrows the stage, not the cause.
The same cleanup or retry line three or more times can reveal a loop even when every row says INFO.
An incomplete file, process exit or still-running session can all truncate output. State which one you observed.
11 / REAL PUBLIC ATTEMPTS
Two logs, one crucial difference
Both reports use a nonstandard setup, so only the sequence—not the configuration or proposed fixes—is reused.

How do I inspect a large log with PowerShell?
Replace the placeholder with the file you actually verified. These read-only commands do not repair or modify the log.
Get-Content -LiteralPath '.\your-verified-log' -Tail 120Useful for a single short current attempt; confirm it did not begin earlier.

What must be redacted before sharing?
- Windows username and private path segments
- Account email, Patreon identity and access tokens
- API keys, cookies, secrets and authorization headers
- Private mod/project/save filenames when unnecessary
- Game build and Live Editor version
- Severity, component and raw error/status code
- Relative order and timestamps within the attempt
- Generic executable/DLL names and milestone wording
Review manually after automatic masking. Do not post process dumps publicly; they can contain sensitive memory.

16 / FALSE CONCLUSIONS
What should you never conclude from one log line?
Issue #40 shows sequence divergence and repetition without an ERROR record.
It applies only to the named call or operation.
It may be cleanup after an earlier failure or simply the final flushed record.
It narrows the stage. The file may also be incomplete or the process still active.
A fingerprint is not a signature, security verdict or provenance check.
Preserve maintainer status, issue state and setup context before generalizing.
17 / FAQ
FC 26 Live Editor log questions
01Where is the FC 26 Live Editor log file?+
The creator’s current public Wiki and repository do not publish a stable filename or path. Search the dedicated Live Editor folder used for this attempt by modified time and content signatures such as Game Version:, Live Editor v and STATUS_. If no text artifact exists, capture the visible Launcher output.
02What does INFO mean in an FC 26 Live Editor log?+
INFO is the severity assigned to that record. It means the line is informational, not that the whole launch succeeded. A sequence can stall or loop without ever printing ERROR.
03Does “Done” mean the launch worked?+
Only for the named operation. ShellExecuteExW Done records completion of that call; Game Window Found is a later, stronger observation. Injection done - shutdown records the Launcher endpoint and cleanup, but does not prove the F9 overlay rendered.
04Which line should I send when Live Editor fails?+
Send the last completed milestone, the first significant line after it and roughly 10–20 surrounding lines from the same attempt. Include the exact game build and Live Editor version, plus what appeared on screen.
05Why is there no ERROR line?+
The absence of ERROR does not prove success. A missing expected next milestone, repeated Start/Done loop or abrupt end can be more useful than an error search.
06Can I paste my log into the reader on this page?+
Yes. The reader runs in your browser and performs no upload. You should still redact usernames, tokens, account data and private filenames before sharing the generated summary anywhere.
07Are MD5 values proof that a DLL is safe or correct?+
No. In these logs they are artifact fingerprints that help compare attempts. A hash is not a malware verdict, signature, compatibility decision or root-cause diagnosis by itself.
08Is a DX12 ERROR a Launcher error?+
Not necessarily. The public Issue #43 snippet occurs in an in-game Editor rendering component after later initialization. Keep the raw code and predecessor line, then use the game-crash or exact DirectX route.

Product claims come from creator-controlled sources and exact public issue artifacts. Microsoft controls command semantics. Videos were audited for vocabulary and omissions, not promoted over primary evidence.
Primary authority for the expected Launcher → Run Game → Injecting → game → main-menu overlay sequence and complete extraction.
Primary build-to-release map. On 13 August 2026, FC 26 v1.6.6 build 1.0.139.20381 maps to Live Editor v26.3.5–v26.3.6.
Primary release-history evidence; used to keep historical issue pairs separate from the current pair.
Tree audited for a published log filename, path and retention contract; none is exposed in the current public tree.
Public real-world sample for time, level, version, hash, path, handoff, Injection done and cleanup fields; setup and community fix are not generalized.
Public contrast sample: no ERROR line, missing normal endpoint and repeating RestoreAnticheat pattern. Reporter closed it without a confirmed cause.
Public example of a later in-game Editor/graphics log surface with an explicit component and raw error code; reporter root-cause claim is unconfirmed.
